Vinyl Siding
While not the most durable siding choice, vinyl siding is very affordable and can come in a wide range of colors. Lasting up to fifty years, vinyl siding is low maintenance and built to last.

Wood Siding
Wood siding, which is lightweight and available in different colors and styles, is one of the most popular siding materials due to its history of durability. The most commonly used wood species include spruce, redwood, pine, and cedar. It can be stained or painted to match a home’s exterior. Although its aesthetic is irreplaceable, wood sidings are susceptible to mold and mildew if not regularly maintained.

Metal Siding
Metal siding, available in panels, vertical strips, and shingles, is durable and humidity-resistant. Depending on the installation company, metal siding is at risk of denting or rusting over time. However, most metal siding styles are low maintenance and long-lasting.

Fiber Cement Siding
Fiber cement siding, one of the more durable types of sidings, can last up to fifty years. One of the most well-known brands is James Hardie Siding. It resembles wood but is low maintenance and impervious to rot and insect damage. The Product is Hurricane rated and can be used throughout Florida. The product comes in many design styles and colors.

Brick Siding
Brick siding is limited in its appearance availability, but it makes up for that with its durability, fire resistance, low maintenance, and temperature control. Made of clay and shale, brick siding is eco-friendly and long-lasting.

Stone Veneer Siding
Stone veneer siding is lightweight and generally more affordable than other home siding options. It provides an earthy aesthetic and, unlike real stone, can be easily installed by almost any contractor. Without regular upkeep, however, weak spots in the siding can allow moisture infiltration that may cause damage.

Stucco Siding
Stucco siding, made of a cement and sand blend, is applied in layers and is fairly durable. It resists extremely hot and cold weather and can be painted to match the home’s exterior.
